It is painful to have to write the pattern of the API twice : in api.php and in api.xml.

I and a friend of mine realized that commercial APIs need licenses support. Also, it would be a good idea protecting people that pay for an API from those developers that create commercial APIs and then delete them without notice!

im too lazy to make my own apis. if i have an idea and could post it, someone could implement it and we'd both be set.

Please give the ability to use an http proxy
which is very common need.
httplib2 supports it
PS: I get "No module named httplib2" on my python 2.6...

Add something like http://api-status.com/ related to uptime, api performance and response time and other quality measures. I think it would be useful also to include vote and comment by the user related to some of quality measures and an overall vote.

It was really hard to find the browse feature

...because I can go say here: http://www.mashape.com/apis/Getting+Homework+Done and recruit those developers to my competing service that charges $10 for the same service. Not awesome and IMO this completely destroys the ability to offer paid APIs on Mashape :(

After reading in the xml I have to document the methods and parameters by hand , I have already written a small local database to store this information in and I would like to be able to include it in the xml.

When adding the URL durning signup My phone auto-uppercased the H in Http which caused the signup to fail until this was corrected with http

Some APIs require basic authentication to use and this currently can't be reflected in Mashape. Especially problematic with making use of the generated libraries. For testing apis, a public test username/password can be published.

The search box for searching through all the API's people have put up is _very_ slow (at least it has been for me). Please improve!

It so happens that certain times devs don't really know what we're looking for, we just need solutions to problems.
If there was a directory that could be categorized for simplicity devs could easily search and find those solutions.
Also devs could also just browse, find something interesting and implement on their products
